Monster Fair: Tips (1)

Since We only have limited number of extra balls in Monster Fair, we need to decide either taking some risk for better score or completing show, or avoiding any risk by even giving up some objectives such as single ball shows.
Very basic strategy for higher score is to “Play in multi ball as much as you can”. Here’s the typical steps to maintain multiballs:
1. Start a multiball show (any)
2. Prepare for Wheel multi by locking two balls then leaving one ghost drop target for the third ball.
3. Complete (or fail) the show.
4. DO NOT START wheel multi ball while you are playing multi ball. (Sometimes I intensionally drop two balls to end the multi ball.)
5. After getting single ball mode, hit the center ramp for Wheel multi ball.
6. Correct 10 tickets while maintaining multi balls. This is the good chance to add more score by hitting ramps, activating popcorn multi and so on.
7. After you lose two balls (and add-a-ball), hit the tent and start new show. If you start any multi ball show, you may repeat same steps above.

With these steps, the only chance to play in single ball is just one show, either Premium tickets show or the Count Dracula show, if you start one of them as the first show after previous opening festival or return voyage. So the best case after opening festival or return voyage should be:

a. Prepare Popcorn multi by leaving one (or two) drop target.
b. Start the Count Dracula show.
c. Start Popcorn multi.
d. Complete the show.
e. Prepare Wheel multi by leaving one drop target for locking 3rd ball.
f. End multi ball.
g. Start Wheel multi and collect 10 tickets.
h. Have fun while in multi ball mode
i. Hit the tent for next (any of multi ball) show.
j. Repeat step d to i above for two more times.
k. Start Premium ticket show.
l. Hold the ball on down-right flipper and wait for time-up (or you can try to complete the show if you want to take a risk).
m. Hit the tent for Opening festival or Return Voyage.

As you see, you can play in multi-ball more than 90% of your play time now.

I want to say good luck with your play but there is no lucky/unlucky thing in the Monster Fair. It is 100% skill oriented game and if you feel unlucky, it means that something in your mind set, physical condition or other factor lets you play like that. So if you feel something is destracting you, you may take rest before trying to get the high-score. Especially, if you want to go bathroom, don’t hold it or it really affects your score.
