As you may already know, there’s a new version with much more forgiving Mino Chamber and new rule for the Defeat indicator so that we can get Spatiotemporal Randezvous multiple times per ball. This is very cool. I guess more players can hit the counter stop with this updated version.
I hope 2011 will be a good year for all of you, pinheads!

Now I am fooling around 10,000,000,000 range. As you may already figure out, the Spatiotemporal Rendezvous can be achieved only once per ball as the DEFEAT indicator will never come back until you lose a ball.

Basic tactics for Mad Daedalus is pretty much the same as the other LittleWing pinballs — maintain multiball as long as you can.
1. Initiate King Minos Frenzy as soon as possible.
2. Initiate Minotaur multiball while King Minos Frenzy is still active
3. Get Field 5X first for maximizing your score
4. Get Bonus 5X by shooting Mino Chamber and Skyway ramp in order
5. Try correcting all other Ariadne award if possible
6. At this point you may archive everything to start Spatiotemporal Rendezvous
7. After Spatiotemporal Rendezvous ends, repeat the step from 1 to 5
8. If you lose a ball, repeat step 1 to 7

To maximize your score, it is critical to maintain 4 balls during multiball.
With Field 5X, your Inferno Points will be 100,000,000 for four balls multiball while you only get 50,000,000 for two balls multiball. There are many ways to activate ball save feature and once you can control when you activate it, the duration of multiball will be much longer thus your score rises dramatically.

I’ll go through some details like what target to aim and what target not to, kind of things to avoid “Deadly path”.

Well, I was kinda busy for last couple of years but I guess now it’s time to resume my pinball life.
The high score contest for the Fairy Tower was closed and the one for Mad Daedalus (MD) is about to come (I guess). I’ll apply my basic strategy for LittleWing pinball Sims to MD.

So far my current score as of 3rd playing day is something like 2,000,000,000+.
Here’s my “DO NOT” list I found so far:
1. DO NOT aim to the “Power spot target” unless you are in multi ball mode
-Power level can be maximized during multi ball mode anyways. And do not expect the “Ball save” always save your ball, especially at level 1. It will be deactivated while you fumble the ball.
2. DO NOT aim to the “Mad drop target” from bottom flippers unless you are in multi ball mode
-From the bottom flipper, bounced ball may slip between the flippers to the out hole, say, one in 30 times as I observed. Advancing ‘DAEDALUS” letter can be achieved by completing the top lanes as well.

Hmm, Monster Fair Highscore Contest has ended. Now I can concentrate on the Fairly Tower, next to my job, of course
The only new finding is the Skill Shot — hit the Golem hole with the precision plunger shot and you will get skill shot bonus along with the ‘permanent’ lit of Golem hole through the game.

Same as Jinni Zeala, you will get unlimited extra balls as long as you maintain the Super Tower multiball by installing four orbs at once. It means you never reduce your remaining ball count as long you initiate Super Tower multiball more often than you lose your ball. It sounds easy but I am suffering with the fact that I always hit the tower with one or two orbs by mistake :-<
I am not sure it’s a spec or bug but after Super Tower multiball, one of four orbs (usually Terra) is ready to get and it leads me to get Terra orb far earlier than taking care of other orbs. I guess I need to keep Wyvern much more busier

Highscore contest for Fairly tower is very soon to come. Let’s see how high other player’s initial score go.

So far I found:
1. Secret Passage — Does not have to go through the left lane as long as the ball gets into the tower from the left opening. 1st award is an extra ball. It can be easier to shoot the Terra Orb drop targets then bounced ball eventually goes into the tower!
2. Deadly path — Returning from the tower lamp, from the bumper exit, etc…

Holding ball became more difficult.

Triple Myst attack:
When you lit the Myst during multi ball, you may hold one ball each on both lower flippers, shoot the center ramp with right flipper then shoot again from left flipper within a few seconds, quick enough to let the second ball take the ramp instead of the wheel, then use top right flipper to hit the lowest Ghost drop target which is pretty difficult to hit from lower flipper. Now you can easily hit the other two Ghost drop targets from bottom right flipper while you hold the other ball on the bottom left flipper. Repeat shooting the center ramp to get the 2nd and 3rd Mysts for possible extra ball. You also get “add-a-ball” with this trick when Witch is flashing.

Wheel Ride Bonus
In the Monster Fair, the only limitless bonus is the “Wheel Ride” bonus which I currently confirmed to go up 2,500 rides (25,040,000 points!) and beyond. Let’s see, if it goes up to 10,000 rides, the total bonus amount would be:
(50,000+100,050,000)/2*10,000=500,500,000,000…
…..Anyway the basic method for quick charging of Wheel Ride is to use same technique above. Just keep shooting center ramp with two balls from left and right flippers. Play with three balls sounds better but they make the ball control even more difficult.

Let’s roll!

Since We only have limited number of extra balls in Monster Fair, we need to decide either taking some risk for better score or completing show, or avoiding any risk by even giving up some objectives such as single ball shows.
Very basic strategy for higher score is to “Play in multi ball as much as you can”. Here’s the typical steps to maintain multiballs:
1. Start a multiball show (any)
2. Prepare for Wheel multi by locking two balls then leaving one ghost drop target for the third ball.
3. Complete (or fail) the show.
4. DO NOT START wheel multi ball while you are playing multi ball. (Sometimes I intensionally drop two balls to end the multi ball.)
5. After getting single ball mode, hit the center ramp for Wheel multi ball.
6. Correct 10 tickets while maintaining multi balls. This is the good chance to add more score by hitting ramps, activating popcorn multi and so on.
7. After you lose two balls (and add-a-ball), hit the tent and start new show. If you start any multi ball show, you may repeat same steps above.

With these steps, the only chance to play in single ball is just one show, either Premium tickets show or the Count Dracula show, if you start one of them as the first show after previous opening festival or return voyage. So the best case after opening festival or return voyage should be:

a. Prepare Popcorn multi by leaving one (or two) drop target.
b. Start the Count Dracula show.
c. Start Popcorn multi.
d. Complete the show.
e. Prepare Wheel multi by leaving one drop target for locking 3rd ball.
f. End multi ball.
g. Start Wheel multi and collect 10 tickets.
h. Have fun while in multi ball mode
i. Hit the tent for next (any of multi ball) show.
j. Repeat step d to i above for two more times.
k. Start Premium ticket show.
l. Hold the ball on down-right flipper and wait for time-up (or you can try to complete the show if you want to take a risk).
m. Hit the tent for Opening festival or Return Voyage.

As you see, you can play in multi-ball more than 90% of your play time now.

I want to say good luck with your play but there is no lucky/unlucky thing in the Monster Fair. It is 100% skill oriented game and if you feel unlucky, it means that something in your mind set, physical condition or other factor lets you play like that. So if you feel something is destracting you, you may take rest before trying to get the high-score. Especially, if you want to go bathroom, don’t hold it or it really affects your score.
